Wachovia Bank is Sued by Florida's AG

Wachovia Bank is being sued due to fraudulent activity in regards to loan modifications. A loan modification company called FHA All Day.com was lying to customers by saying that they could assist them with a loan modification if they paid an upfront fee of $2000.00 to $3000.00. However, this was a huge scam and the state attorney general of Florida shut down their operation in 2009. FHA All Day.com was taking the customer's checks and cashing them at a place called Swifty's Market , rather than take the checks and deposit them into a corporate  bank account.  Wachovia Bank is involved because Swifty's Market would use Wachovia Bank to clear the checks from FHA All Day.com. Wachovia Bank never "questioned the checks." There was "potentially million of dollars" that was scammed by the loan modification company.
