Washington State Passes New Foreclosure Law

The state of Washington has uncovered a new problem dealing with foreclosures.  Washington state law makes it mandatory that foreclosure trustees have offices and active working phone numbers so that if homeowners have issues about their foreclosure they can speak with someone directly. They also have these offices for the purpose of homeowners who might be able to stop their foreclosure by making a last minute payment. However, this is not the case in the state of Washington based on the ongoing investigation that is being conducted by the Attorney General Office. They are finding that the major trustees do not have offices for the homeowners to go to if they are able to stop the foreclosure.  The Attorney General offices is recommending that homeowners call their office if they are unable to locate an active office or phone number.
